Middle School First Priority MS First Priority will be holding their meeting every Tuesday during lunch in Mrs. Schofield's room (202). First priority is a weekly student-led club where students are given an opportunity to share their faith with one another, encourage one another and discover the power of faith in their lives. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. Please see Mrs. Kolkema or Mrs. Schofield if you have any questions.
All Students Taking AP Classes: All students taking AP classes: Mrs. Howard has posted the AP Exam order form in Google Classroom. Please fill out this form to indicate which AP exams you want to take in the spring. Mrs. Howard needs this information by October 30th. If you do not fill out the form, she will not be ordering you any exams. See her with questions.
Varsity Football Game Expectations- Important
Reminder that this was shared out a few weeks ago. Please take a minute to remind yourself and classmates about the expectations for our athletic events.
As we prepare for another exciting varsity football season, we are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly environment for all students, families, and spectators. To help ensure a positive experience at our games, we ask for your cooperation with the following expectations:
Elementary-Aged Students
All elementary-aged students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the duration of the game. Students who are not accompanied by an adult may be denied admission or asked to leave the event.
Prohibited Items
Bags, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, and other recreational equipment are not permitted inside the stadium. We appreciate your assistance in helping us maintain a safe environment for all attendees.
No Re-Entry Policy
Once spectators have been admitted to the stadium, re-entry will not be permitted. Please ensure you have all necessary items with you before entering the facility.
Restricted Areas
All practice fields and areas surrounding the stadium are off limits to students during the football game. Students are expected to remain in the stadium seating areas under appropriate supervision for the duration of the event.
These expectations are in place to promote safety, reduce disruptions, and allow everyone to focus on supporting our Norse student-athletes. We appreciate your partnership and cooperation in helping us create a positive game-day atmosphere for all.

Playing a Winter Sport? If you are playing a winter sport and have yet to complete their MHSAA physical, please do so by the winter sports deadline of 10/26/26. There is a sports physical clinic at NM on Monday, October 19th if you would like that rather than waiting for your primary physician.
Attention High School Students! High School Students!Please keep the following lunchtime reminders in mind: 1. Food Locations: Food must be eaten in the cafeteria, outside in Walker Park or in a staff-supervised classroom during a scheduled club meeting. No food in the hallways or other areas inside the school building. 2. Clean Up: Please take care of your trash. Look around your area before leaving to ensure your table or outdoor space is clean. 3. Respect Middle School Classes: Middle school classes are in session during this time. Please be respectful and stay clear of areas where classes are taking place. Thank you for your cooperation.
Fall MSHS Orchestra Concert The fall orchestra concert will be Tuesday, October 27th at 6:30pm. *Choose your own price tickets*
Breakfast for our Veterans! If you know a Veteran please invite them to breakfast to honor them on Wednesday, November 11th from 8:30-10:30. Breakfast is served and provided by Mr. Friesner, NHS, Student Council and Interact Club with performances by Harmonics, HS Orchestra and The Norse Chamber Choir in the Performing Arts Center! Golf carts will be available for rides from Community Methodist Church parking lot with additional parking at the Library/Community Center.
Choir Concert Tickets are $3 and available at the door or students can buy them from Mrs. Slimko in the choir room before or after school. Shows will be at 6pm and 7:30 in the PAC.
Middle School Boo Bash! There will be a MS BOO Bash with music games and snacks in the Cafeteria from 7-9pm on Friday, November 6th! Tickets are $6 on sale in the choir room during MS lunch or online at https://nmps.revtrak.net/school-store/#/v/middle-school-dance
Boys Co-op Varsity Hockey w/ RP HS Boys if you are interested in playing Co-op Varsity Hockey with Reeths Puffer, tryouts are Monday & Tuesday, Oct. 26 & 27th at Trinity Health Arena from 4:00-5:20pm
Blood Drive Monday! Please consider donating blood at our drive in the PAC next Monday, 8:30-2:30. If you are 16 yrs old, you will need to bring a signed Parent Consent Form with you to the blood drive.
Congrats Girls V. Golf The girls golf team ended their season taking 5th place at the Division 4 State Finals. Grace Sheler tied for 5th place out of the top 10 individuals. Great Season Lady Norse Golfers!!!
NO Energy Drinks Allowed in School As a reminder, students are NOT permitted to bring or consume energy drinks at school or in class. Thank you!
Reminder about headphones/earbuds As a reminder, headphones and earbuds are not allowed, similar to the cell phone policy. Teachers may permit their use during class strictly when connected to Chromebooks for educational purposes; however, they should not be worn in the hallways and must be put away between classes.
Graduation Cords Are you interested in earning School Board recognition cords for graduation? NMPS Board of Education is looking for student representatives to join in our board of education meetings each month.
