BYOD Policy Update As we launch into the new school year, NM is making an important update regarding student technology. While high school students were permitted to bring their own personal devices in past years (following the BOYD Policy), all students will now be required to use a school-issued Chromebooks only. This change is driven by federal Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) regulations. To remain fully compliant with CIPA mandates, the school must maintain specific content filtering, cybersecurity protocols, and internet safety standards—measures that we cannot legally or technically enforce on non-managed personal devices. We realize this information comes right at the start of the year and appreciate your understanding as we make this transition. If you already have a school-issued Chromebook, you are all set! :) If you do not have a school-issued Chromebook, please see Mr. Henderson to have one issued. Teachers, please allow students who need a device a brief moment during Norse Village to get this taken care, if needed.
