Homecoming Guest Forms The HS Homecoming dance is Saturday, October 3rd. If you plan to bring a student from another school please come grab a form in the HS Lobby by the TV. Please complete them with your guest and turn them in no later than Wednesday, September 3oth!
High School First Priority High School First Priority will be holding their first meeting on Tuesday, September 29th at noon in Mr. Stevens room (101). First priority is a weekly student-led club where students are given an opportunity to share their faith with one another, encourage one another and discover the power of faith in their lives. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend. Please see Mr. Stevens if you have any questions.

School-issued Chromebooks ONLY As we launch into this new school year, NM is making an important update regarding student technology. While high school students were permitted to bring their own personal devices in past years, all students will now be required to use only school-issued Chromebooks. This change is driven by federal Children's Internet Protection Act (CIPA) regulations. To remain fully compliant with CIPA mandates, the school must maintain specific content filtering, cybersecurity protocols, and internet safety standards—measures that we cannot legally or technically enforce on non-managed personal devices. We realize this information comes right at the start of the year and appreciate your understanding as we make this transition. If you do not have a school-issued Chromebook, please see Mr. Henderson to have one issued.
Volunteers Needed for 2027 Grad Night ~ Shake the Can Volunteer to help raise funds for our 2027 Grad Night! We are looking for volunteers to cover each corner downtown North Muskegon (The 4 corners) from 8am-1pm on Saturday October 10th. We'll have everything you need! Breakfast provided! Just show up in your norse gear and collect donations from people driving through the four corners downtown. Sign up here

All Eligible NHS Juniors and Seniors All eligible NHS juniors and seniors should have received a document from Mr. Grelewicz. Please check your email. If you have a 3.65 cumulative GPA or higher and did not receive the document, contact Mr. Grelewicz.
Leave it better.... than you found it! Please remember that our goal is to always leave it better than we found it. This is especially true during our off campus lunch times. If you are leaving campus or eating outside, you are responsible to clean up your mess. Trash should be placed in one of the many garbage cans around the building. If you are going to Wesco, please rememeber that you are expected to behave in a positive and respectful manner. Thank you for representing yourself and NM in a positive way.
Senior Rock Photo - Friday, Oct. 2 Radium will be here on Friday October 2nd at 3pm to take your Senior rock photo. Please plan to be in Walker Park at the rock at 2:55. BE SURE TO WEAR YOUR BLUE/GOLD :)
Students in Building Please remember that you should only be in the building during regular school hours or if you are particpating in an extra-curricular activity AND supervised by an approved NM staff member. The doors open at 7:30 AM. Students should be picked up by 3:15 PM. If you need to make other arrangements, please come to the office for prior approval.
All Students Taking AP Classes: All students taking AP classes: Mrs. Howard has posted the AP Exam order form in Google Classroom. Please fill out this form to indicate which AP exams you want to take in the spring. Mrs. Howard needs this information by October 30th. If you do not fill out the form, she will not be ordering you any exams. See her with questions.
Suicide Prevention Month Candlelight Vigil Please join the Hope Squad in attending the Suicide Prevention Month Candlelight Vigil in the Muskegon Community College Student Lounge on Wednesday, September 30th from 5:30-7:30. Everyone is welcome to attend for an evening of hope and healing.
Every 7th-12th Grade Student: Please complete the Hope Squad Nomination form in your email by Friday, October 2nd. If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Gerstweiler.
Congrats 8th Grade Volleyball Girls Congratulations to the 8th grade volleyball team on their strong 4-1 finish at the Hart Tournament this past weekend. The Norse beat Hart, Oakridge, Mason County and Montague before a very close 13-15 finish against Shelby in the 3rd set. Many of the other coaches commented on the skill displayed by the Norsemen. The 8th graders finished the day with 61 pass-set-hits, far exceeding all other teams. Keep getting better and great job overall!
Congrats Girls V. Golf The Lady Norse golf team took 1st place in thier Conference. Grace Sheler took 1st place for individuals, Presley Prasad took 2nd and Olivia Caradonna took 3rd place!!
Chess Club: High School students interested in joining Chess Club please come to Ms. Cox's room on Friday October 2nd during HS lunch to discuss details of the club.
Varsity Football Game Expectations- Important
Reminder that this was shared out a few weeks ago. Please take a minute to remind yourself and classmates about the expectations for our athletic events.
As we prepare for another exciting varsity football season, we are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and family-friendly environment for all students, families, and spectators. To help ensure a positive experience at our games, we ask for your cooperation with the following expectations:
Elementary-Aged Students
All elementary-aged students must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian throughout the duration of the game. Students who are not accompanied by an adult may be denied admission or asked to leave the event.
Prohibited Items
Bags, footballs, soccer balls, basketballs, and other recreational equipment are not permitted inside the stadium. We appreciate your assistance in helping us maintain a safe environment for all attendees.
No Re-Entry Policy
Once spectators have been admitted to the stadium, re-entry will not be permitted. Please ensure you have all necessary items with you before entering the facility.
Restricted Areas
All practice fields and areas surrounding the stadium are off limits to students during the football game. Students are expected to remain in the stadium seating areas under appropriate supervision for the duration of the event.
These expectations are in place to promote safety, reduce disruptions, and allow everyone to focus on supporting our Norse student-athletes. We appreciate your partnership and cooperation in helping us create a positive game-day atmosphere for all.
