Norse Cadets Meet in Mr. Liverance's office during your Norse Cadet time.
Please review the following lunchroom and hallway reminders: Middle School Students: Snacks: You may purchase snacks when you first go through the lunch line. You do not need to wait until you have finished your main lunch. Hallway Traffic: When lunch ends, please use the stairwells to get to your next class. Avoid using the downstairs high school hallway to prevent disrupting high school classes that are in session. Norse PRIDE: Thank you for doing a great job following PRIDE expectations during lunch. Keep up the excellent work! High School Students: Eating Areas: Eating is only permitted in the cafeteria, unless you are with an adult in their classroom for a club or other supervised activity. Food is not allowed in the hallways, including the area outside the counseling office. Cell Phones: Phones must not be visible anywhere in the building, including during lunch. Please keep your phones in your lockers unless you are leaving campus for lunch.
What's this MINGA??? Good morning, Norsemen! We want to share a quick update on a new tool we are using this year called Minga. You'll be seeing Minga in two main ways around school. First, it is how we are celebrating Norse PRIDE! Instead of paper tickets, your teachers are now using Minga to instantly recognize you when you demonstrate our core values—being Positive, Respectful, acting with Integrity, staying Disciplined, and being Engaged. When you see a teacher giving you a 'Minga point,' know that it's a shout-out for the great work you're doing. Keep up the great work and keep showing that Norse PRIDE! We have some great ideas and will be starting a Norse PRIDE store where you can turn in your MINGA points for some cool prizes! We will also continue the weekly drawings and add this to your chances for our Ride w/Pride program! Second, it is our new digital hall pass system, which helps us keep our hallways safe and efficient. This part of MINGA will be rolled out over the next few weeks, with several teachers already starting to pilot this. Thank you for your positive attitude and cooperation in using this new tool!
Reminder- Phones Please remember that all phones should be kept in your lockers during the school day. If you are a hs student, you may take/use your phone only if you are going OFF CAMPUS for lunch. Phones should not be used in school during class periods, hallways, lunch, or passing times. If you need to use your phone to contact parents, please come down to office.
